Bhutan Snowman Trek

Day 1: Arrival in Paro

Arrive at Paro International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest and acclimatize. Overnight in Paro.

Day 2: Paro Sightseeing & Acclimatization

Visit Rinpung Dzong, National Museum, and Kyichu Lhakhang. Prepare equipment and meet your trekking team. Overnight in Paro.

Day 3: Tiger’s Nest Monastery Hike

Hike to the sacred Tiger’s Nest Monastery. This acclimatization hike helps prepare your body for the high-altitude adventure ahead. Overnight in Paro.

Day 4: Paro – Shana

Drive to the trek starting point at Shana and begin trekking through beautiful forests along the Paro River. Overnight at camp.

Day 5–25: Snowman Trek Adventure

Begin the legendary Snowman Trek through some of Bhutan’s most remote and spectacular landscapes. The journey crosses numerous high mountain passes, including:

  • Nyile La Pass
  • Laya Pass
  • Gangla Karchung Pass
  • Rinchen Zoe La Pass
  • Thanza
  • Sephu Valley

The trek passes through remote villages, ancient monasteries, yak herding communities, alpine meadows, glaciers, and untouched Himalayan wilderness. Highlights include:

  • Stunning views of Jomolhari and other Himalayan peaks
  • Remote villages of the Layap people
  • High-altitude lakes
  • Traditional Bhutanese mountain culture
  • Pristine landscapes rarely visited by travelers

Camping nights under the Himalayan sky make this one of Bhutan’s most unforgettable adventure experiences.

Day 26: Complete Trek – Transfer to Punakha

After completing the trek, drive to Punakha for a well-deserved rest. Visit Punakha Dzong if time permits. Overnight in Punakha.

Day 27: Punakha – Paro

Drive back to Paro through Dochula Pass. Enjoy a farewell dinner and relax in preparation for departure. Overnight in Paro.

Day 28: Departure from Paro

Transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight.
